BE DESIGN
Background
BE Design is an architecture, civil and structural engineering firm based in Newark, Nottinghamshire. The firm has worked on hundreds of projects across the UK and internationally, from multi-million-pound retail facilities and industrial schemes to indoor skydiving centres. It needed support with a refresh to its existing branding, a new website and the creation of social templates to reflect the size and stature of the firm and to add polish to its branding in a crowded and competitive market.
Step one - audit
First of all we undertook an initial audit and review of the existing branding. We concluded that the visual identity was limited by its primary colour scheme and would benefit from adding some secondary colours. As sustainable architecture is a major aspect of the firm’s offering, we concluded that a colour to reflect this strand of the business would create some much needed contrast with the primary red and navy blue and could be used as a highlight for key sustainable projects. We also felt that both the logo and body copy typeface would benefit from modernisation to reflect the innovative nature of the business.

Step two - colour & typeface
We recommended a turquoise to offset the dark tones of the primary red and navy, as well as an off-white grey to create balance, contrast and versatility within the colour scheme.
We also provided a new body copy and complementary title font.
Step three - brand development
We then built a bank of assets for the brand including icons, infographics, quotes, logo overlays for photos and filters. We also created a range of social media graphic templates for posts like awards, case studies, awareness days, internal news and CSR.

Step four - website build
We created a modern website that was visually led, cohesively branded and highly impactful. Below outlines the structure we implemented for the home page to build trust and ensure visitors can easily navigate to other sections of the website, maximising session duration.
