BACKGROUND

Nottingham CityCare Partnership is the city’s leading provider of community healthcare services. The social enterprise delivers a range of nursing and healthcare services, including health visits, community nursing, home-based rehabilitation services for older people, and nutrition and dietetics sessions. We were appointed to raise CityCare’s profile locally and then nationally in a two-pronged communications campaign.  

APPROACH

We worked closely with the organisations many teams, from physiotherapy to end of life care, gathering the stories that touch the hearts and minds of people living in Nottingham. They included the 10yearold who lost more than a stone in three months thanks to CityCare’s healthy weight management service, and the couple who quit smoking after 50 years of addiction. We sought headlinegenerating website traffic, service takeup and positive board reports.  

RESULTS

As well as fantastic regional and national coverage, Cartwright created a crisis media strategy and managed all hostile media enquiries. We also created and delivered Connecting Care, a quarterly internal newsletter for CityCare colleagues. We delivered four outstanding campaigns.
